About Us

Christ Community Church is a new church proud to be serving the city of Germantown, MD. Being a community just outside of Washington DC and right on the I-270 corridor, Germantown is characterized by a very fast paced, commuter life style. As such, we are working to help meet the unique needs that the community faces. We believe we can meet those needs in four ways,

1. Being a community of friends

In a fast-paced, highly competitive environment, which Germantown can be, it is often hard to find the time to make friends. Without friends, it is difficult to find the encouragement and support that you need in order to experience the fullness of life the Germantown community has to offer. We believe that by encouraging friendships in our community we are encouraging those who worship with us to experience the fullness of life that comes about through God given friendships.

2. Being a community that cares about kids

Adults are not the only ones who feel the pressures of a fast paced community that values excellence. Kids can oftentimes feel these pressures acutely, which is why we work hard to build an environment where they can be at peace and learn about the God who loves them. Our children’s ministry is a top priority and a core concern for our church.

3. Being a community that cares about families

By valuing and honoring your needs for friendship and community, and your children, we believe that we are nurturing family as well. Coming to worship in an environment such as this is truly rest for your entire family and also an encouragement for the entire family that will help to carry you through the busy week. Whether you are a traditional family, a single parent home, or a single person who needs a community as a family, please know that we work to encourage you through God-centered worship that has the full week and not just Sunday morning in view.

4. Being a user friendly environment

We work hard to make sure to be accessible and friendly so that you can worship with us without having the pressure of trying to understand what is going on or feeling like an outsider. We do our best to keep the service simple and to explain Biblical ideas and concepts in order for you to have a worship experience that inspires you and honors the God who deserves our worship.
