Lead Pastor, Matthew Roberts
Matthew is originally from Richmond, Virginia. His wife, Katy, grew up in Pittsburgh. They met at the University of Mary Washington. After graduating together, they married in 2001. Matt and Katy attended Covenant Theological Seminary in St. Louis and (again) graduated together both earning theological degrees. Matthew served on staff with Shady Grove Presbyterian Church in Derwood, and Grace Fellowship Church in Chantilly, Virginia. Prior to pastoral ministry, Matthew served as a Sergeant in the Army Reserve and worked in business. Matthew and Katy have three children.
Director of Worship, Matthew McMahon
Matthew is a veteran of church worship music teams, having volunteered at five churches and two university fellowships. He and his wife Carissa met in New Jersey at Drew University, where he led worship for the local InterVarsity chapter. Matthew served on the worship team for Christ Community Church in Franklin, Tennessee, while completing his doctoral degree in physics. Since moving to Montgomery County in 2007, he has served on the worship team at Shady Grove Presbyterian Church.
Director of Operations, Susie Fleming
Susie is a native of Maryland and grew up in the Montgomery County area. She has held several professional posts administering businesses and organizing large events. While raising her family, she taught in several Christian schools. She, along with her husband, Phil, has been involved with local ministries geared to teens and building stronger family relationships. They attended Shady Grove PCA for 24 years, before becoming part of CCC. They were blessed to be a part of the first church plant SGPCA sponsored, and both are excited to be a part of this new church in Germantown.
Nursery Supervisor, Bernadette Perrin
Bernadette was born and raised in the Philippines and came to the United States in 2000. She graduated from Catholic University of America in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education. She currently works at the Goddard School in Gaithersburg as a Preschool teacher. Prior to that, she worked at Marriott Child Development Center as a Lead Teacher in a two year old classroom for three years. Bernadette oversees the nursery at CCC during the worship service every Sunday.
