Lead Pastor, Matthew Roberts

Matthew came to Germantown in the summer of 2008 to help start Christ Community. His previous ministry experience includes serving on staff with Shady Grove Presbyterian Church in Gaithersburg, and Grace Fellowship Church in Chantilly, Virginia.  Matthew attended Covenant Theological Seminary and the University of Mary Washington.  Matthew seved as a Sergeant in the Army Reserve.  Matthew and his wife, Katy, have two daughters.

Director of Worship, Matthew McMahon 

Matthew is a veteran of church worship music teams, having volunteered at five churches and two university fellowships.  He and his wife Carissa met in New Jersey at Drew University, where he led worship for the local InterVarsity chapter.  Matthew served on the worship team for Christ Community Church in Franklin, Tennessee, while completing his doctoral degree in physics.  Since moving to Montgomery County in 2007, he has served on the worship team at Shady Grove Presbyterian Church.

Director of Children's Ministry, Pj Fleming

PJ has been an integral part of CCC since its beginning.  He is the Dean of Students of Washington Christian Academy.  He has served with Younglife in its Wyldlife and Capernaum ministries as well as having served as support staff with Shady Grove PCA’s youth ministry.  PJ is a graduate of Reformed Theological Seminary.  Pj lives with his wife Katie in Damascus, MD.  They are the proud parents of a newborn son.

Director of Operations, Susie Fleming

Susie is a native of Maryland and grew up in the Montgomery County area.  She has held several professional posts administering businesses and organizing large events. While raising her family, she taught in several Christian schools.  She, along with her husband, Phil, has been involved with local ministries geared to teens and building stronger family relationships. They have attended Shady Grove PCA for 24 years.  They were blessed to be a part of the first church plant SGPCA sponsored, and both are looking forward to this new church in Germantown.
